Wisteria Hysteria & The Perfect Summer Dress

Have you ever had it where you’ve been dreaming about a dress you’ve seen on a blog or Instagram or maybe just when scrolling through one of your favourite online stores, and you just can’t get it out of your mind? Well that’s exactly what I experienced with this BEAUTIFUL dress.

I spotted it a couple of months back on Joanie Clothing and you may recognise it from my ‘May Payday Wishlist’, and since then I have literally been dreaming about owning it – So, a couple of weeks back when Joanie had a 20% off dresses offer I jumped at the chance to get it for a cheaper price.

When it arrived I just couldn’t wait to get home from work and try it on, and it honestly fits like a glove; I am super happy with the fit, it’s true to size and makes me feel good (hoorah!) The length comes just below the knee which I am really into these days, I like how elegant it makes an outfit look. I love the way the dress fits in at the waist and then very slightly flares out into pleats – It makes it so feminine and just so so classic.

Now, let’s get to the best bit about this dress – THE PRINT. I mean, who doesn’t adore wisteria when it blooms at the beginning of summer? It’s one of my favourite garden flowers and having it on this glorious dress means I can fulfil my love for Wisteria all summer long.

Here I have simply paired the dress with my Topshop Mary-Janes which I just love wearing this time of year, again they’re classic and chic (also a dupe of those dreamy Chanel sling-backs, if only I could get my hands on them one day!)

This has become my favourite dress for garden parties on the weekend or just wearing on my Saturday morning cycle to pick up croissants and a magazine – I think even if it rained I would reach for this beauty I. Just. Can’t. Get. Enough. Of. It!

Do you have a favourite dress of the season?
