As the seasons come and go I switch up my fashion and my make-up to match the present season. As soon as September arrived I was introducing new autumn pieces into my wardrobe and by October I had switched my wardrobe over fully. As for make-up I naturally start reaching for my favourite seasonal colours, palettes and tones when I start to transition my wardrobe; as I do this I always tend to find my core shades that I will now reach for until the end of the autumn and even during winter.
I wear lipstick every single day, unless I’m going completely bare faced. If I have make-up on, my look is never, ever complete unless I have colour on my lips! Here are my favourite four shades that I’ve been reaching for over the past month:
No7 Stay Perfect Lipstick: shade Spice (67) – I’ve had this lipstick for several years now and every autumn I find myself rummaging through handbags and drawers to find it so I can wear it and love it again. I only have a small amount left as you can tell from the pictures. I don’t want to let it run out as I can’t find it on any No7 stands anymore. However, I am hoping this season I’ll be able to find an alternative because I just adore it SO much! It’s the perfect dark burnt-orange/red shade. Honestly, I’ve never found a more autumnal lipstick shade!
Milani Matte Lipstick: shade 68 – I bought this lipstick last year and find it’s the perfect all year round shade. It’s a brown nude with a slight hint of pink but it is quite a deep, warm nude which is why I like it for autumn. It’s easy to wear and lasts really well too.
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss: shade 107 – Now, let’s be honest, this shade is a classic for autumn/winter. I’m sure you own it or have done at some point. It’s the dreamiest dark berry tone with the tiniest hint of purple in there. It’s a bloggers favourite and we all know why, it is a beautiful colour, the formula is great and the price point is so affordable.
L’oreal Colour Riche Matte Lipstick: shade Mon Jules (430) – I love this lipstick A LOT, so much so it is the only lipstick that I own two of. It’s a lovely deep, dark red berry tone with a hint of pink – It’s the perfect balance of girly but statement and I love that. It’s super affordable, the formula is one of my favourites and I adore L’oreal as a brand, so all in all it’s a winner!
