Hello October: Pumpkin picking & Beret lovin’

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

October is here! It will be no surprise to those closest to me that October is quite possibly my favourite month of the year because it is the start of some of my favourite seasonal traditions, starting with pumpkin picking on October 1st.

Pumpkins are one of mine and Al’s favourite things to decorate our living spaces throughout October. Now, I know a lot of people associate them strictly with Halloween but I love the too much to only have them for about a week, so we’ll have them around the house for as long as possible!

We headed out this morning and picked a good six pumpkins, 3 of which are HUGE!

On a Sunday I like to dress casual, comfy but still with personality and chic. Jeans are always a good idea for a dress-down day. These black ones are the classic Topshop Joni Jeans. Now, I know everyone is saying ‘skinny jeans are out’, but I just cannot find any straight legged jeans that suit me. So, I have to stick with skinny jeans.

I paired these with a new grey knit from Primark. You can’t see from the pictures but its got beautiful embroidery – I am slightly obsessed with it!

My trench coat is a staple I’ve had in my wardrobe for years, this one is from Primark but I also have another from New Look, and there is one I’ve been eyeing up on Next – They are a timeless piece that adds the perfect Parisian look to any outfit.

My brown brogues are from ASOS and are my go-to for comfy footwear that I don’t mind if they get muddy when pumpkin picking. They also pair like a dream with my trench coat.

My beret is a recent accessory that I have very quickly become obsessed with. It’s Parisian, chic, timeless and oh so lovely. This black one easily pairs with everything but I also purchased it in a dusky pink which I also j’adore!
